Spring has arrived.

 So lovely seeing all the daffodils flowering around the gardens and streets. Makes that daily walk for exercise so much brighter.

Two new babies arriving soon, so what better time than now to knit some bonnets in lovely spring colours. 

 

Still need to knit warm things.

 Knitted these two lovely neck warmers last week. The weather is so chilly still it is nice to have a bright cheerful colour to wrap up warm with.

I love neck warmers for when your driving in the car, as you don't get the long length trying to wrap around out the way while driving. These are so quick and easy to do and are great for popping on.

Now apart from shopping and a walk, it would be nice to get out more, hopefully it will be soon, or at least by autumn to wear again.

Where there is hearts there is hope

 My thoughts for February are hopes that things will get better for everyone.

So off course some Heart knitting had to be done. 

Mitten knitting for January

 Well it has been cold enough for these for sure. Had some fun getting them done and trying new colours. 

The cinnamon pair is beautiful but the colour is not showing as gorgeous as it.

New Year New Hopes 2021

 Well I think we can all say we will be glad to see the back of 2020 with so many things that were so new and different and challenging.

For me my goal is to keep doing what I love knitting, so here we are the 1st day of the year and I am joining the growing trend of a temperature blanket.

Picked my colours and raring to go, (you can see them in the Temperature Blanket post) I will pop in once in a while to show my progress in the same titled post each time if you want to see it grow with me.

 While doing my blanket I will post my other knits I plan on achieving in 2021, and what better knits to start than mittens after all January is mitten month so I am told. 

February I hope to have some hearts and flowers.

March will bring some spring colours after all I do like to knit for the season

April Could have some Easter fun, 

Ooh I could go on with more but I think for now this will keep me busy.

Temperature Blanket 2021

 Okay I am so looking forward to doing this blanket this year for many reasons.

I get to knit everyday even if it is just a row.

I get to play with so many colours, it is fun

It is a bit of a challenge to discipline myself to do a row even when I am busy, its hot or whatever distraction I usually find.

Today I have cast on 275sts and knitted my first row. I am toying with the idea of adding seed stich every now and then, rather than all garter stitch. Hence the odd number cast on.

Do pop back to this post now and again as I will post my blanket as it grows.

Well the first ten days have been cold, yesterday hit a minus which gave a nice pop of silver grey. Warmed up quite a bit today so next range of colours starting. Loving doing this so far and just using garter stitch.

  

Coming along nicely, even a few degrees each day is giving a nice range of colour, Nearly had snow last week, and contemplated using some white fluffy yarn,  Not to be we missed the snow.

Spring is popping up everywhere, today I will be using my sky blue for the first time. I am loving this blanket so far knitting two rows a day. I wander if that will continue as it gets warmer.

Thought I would pop a new photo on to show the progress. This is up until the beginning of May. I am loving this project so far and look forward to knitting my rows each day.
