Some Christmas Knits

Been a busy month for getting those Christmas knits done, finally done my last gift knit today that needs posting. It is so nice when you get asked to knit your patterns exactly the same as before, you know then the gift is being used.
Here are a few I did this month and in November.

November Knitting

Oh dear not good, it is November 1st which means 7 weeks for Christmas knits or a little more if you knit right up to Christmas eve (like I do)

What makes it worse is the loveknitting November sale on yarn, I already have a stash to get through but just cannot resist some of those colours.

This is the second one finished this year from last years yarn, so I am using some of it up Honest lol

Its all About the hats this month

As the cooler weather is getting to be colder, it has to be time to break out the hat patterns. Having a warm head is so good.

This is the Autumn Breeze beanie hat knitted in shades of blue.
And here it is in Autumn colours

This is a lovely little quick knit baby hat, with a bit of pattern that is easy to do.

A month for finishing

Wow I am doing well this month, I have been stash hunting for a couple of colours I know I have SOMEWHERE. But that's another story lol.

I am so pleased I got this top finished as the weather has been kind and I am getting lots of wear out of it before packing away for next summer.
No pattern for this one as it was just a pick up and see where it goes.

This was my sample I started for a design I did, I finished the design and never got round to finish this blanket. All done and gifted to my friend. This pattern is in my craftsy store, if you want some fun knitting.

Love my Baby blue on the needles

So many new baby boys this month I seem to be all blued out. I do love knitting baby things so I don't mind at all. Top picture not finished yet, the others I have done from my pattern stash, same colours as before as requested by mums. Click on the picture for pattern info.

Autumn colours are so lovely to knit

Started my Autumn colour knitting this weekend. The sun was shining but very breezy so it seemed a good time to start.
My first hat knitted is this lovely patterned beanie.

Here is the matching cardigan, I loved how it knitted up.

Cute Booties are fun to do.

Loving these cute little booties I am doing for a friends baby girl. I am so lucky I have so many lovely people to knit for.
Booties and bonnets are so quick to do and always fun, don't you think?

Did these for a friend, loved the colour so pretty.

Bright start to the day.

How wonderful I feel to have got up to a few nice emails and a wonderful review about one of my patterns. I had to share with you as it has brightened my day.

This is part of the email, as an independent designer this is so lovely to read.

I made it too, also in a bright green, for a one-year-old boy, and I made another in pink for a newborn girl. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photographs of them.

The pattern was very well written, detailed and easy to follow. I was delighted with the finished garments - as were the mothers of the two babies.

It was this little cardigan that was mentioned.

July Joy for sales

Oh my goodness the first week of July has gone already, and I am waiting on my squishy yarn to arrive : ) Not sure if it is a good thing or bad, but the Loveknitting yarn sale has some gorgeous colours, I just had to buy them.
I have even planned what to make with some of the colours.
So looking forward to me parcel.

Knitting in the sunshine

Well the weather has been good these past few days, it has been so nice to get in the garden.
Knitting in the sunshine is so wonderful it melts the stress away.
The only downside is hot hands making the stitches stick on the needles, I can live with that to stay out in the sunshine.
I am working on this beauty at the moment.

It has been a while

Well it has been a while since I did a new post, many reasons adding to running out of time. I thought about closing my blog but have had a couple people ask me to carry on because they like to see what I am knitting next.
So back I am posting one of my last knits to share with you. I hope you like it.

Summer cardigan to brighten up a summer outfit.

Glad I carried on blogging, look at this gorgeous version of my summer brights cardigan, knitted by a friend for her grand daughter.

What is on your needles

Well it is nearly the end of April, time has been against me for blogging, designing and getting stuck into a new project.
Been a very busy month with family and friends, which is what life is all about enjoying your days. Knitting of course is always the icing on the cake, but don't tell Hubby that he thinks he is !!

April was productive on finishing projects that have been a round for a while, only managed half, but hay half done not half left is what counts. Here is a few of the finished pieces.

Finished this one, buttons to be added then it is being gifted to a beautiful little girl. Gorgeous colour for summer.

I managed to get this one done beginning of the month, it is the second one in this colour lilac, it is so sweet. I love it.

Did this little set for a friends charity event coming up in May. I am going to do a second set in White as well.

My friend sent me this photo of what has just come off her needles. I think it is gorgeous and going to look beautiful on her grand daughter. It is my summer Bright cardigan pattern. Click the photo to see it in the Bright colour I knitted it in.

Starting the spring knitting.

It seemed very odd sitting in front of a warm fire knitting little spring cardigans, I was drawn to my winter warm projects as I watched some snowflakes fall. Not many and it didn't lay but pretty to watch all the same.

Here is a couple of cardigans done this week.

Keeping those little toes warm in the cold

With Valentines week gone it seemed a shame not to keep knitting these little heart booties, so I did a red pair and these cute Blue ones.

Keeping those little feet warm is always a good excuse to make little booties, here a few I have done the past year.

February and it looks like snow.

Brr it is cold today, a great excuse to sit in front of the fire and knit. Not that I ever really need an excuse.

Valentine month and hearts everywhere, so I thought I would do some special booties for a little one.

Week four already !!!

Well what can I say, a month into 2018 already, the de cluttering is coming along nicely but no where near finished. I got side tracked this week with some half skeins and started knitting them up.
Nice little gifts for some new babies coming this year.

Monday 22 January 2018

Week Three whoops.

Got a little side tracked this week, found some lovely baby yarn I had stashed away and of course I had to knit it up. I did manage to empty one side of a cupboard and sort into yarn weight. Quite a few boxes done now. Here is a couple of the knits I did.

Monday 15 January 2018

Week two and still going strong.

Well the cold wet weather is keeping me indoors longer, so what better way to spend that time, Knitting and yarn sorting.
Trouble being with yarn sorting is you get distracted and start dreaming up your next project.

I did behave and keep to the plan of finishing started projects, this little cardigan has been delivered to a beautiful baby girl, making me a great Aunt. (Gosh I feel old saying that 😂)

Monday 8 January 2018

First week and feeling motivated.

A few of my finished projects in 2017, did so many lovely things, I am hoping to double the amount  this year.
Just to get going for 2018 I finished these two little cuties, that belong with the hat sets I did back in the Autumn. I did two complete sets and this third set got put aside for other things, so I am pleased to get them finished.

Happy New Year

Welcome to 2018 everyone, here is hoping it is a Happy and Healthy  year for us all.
What plans do you have for the year, or do you not plan at all and go with the flow?

My goals are set for small tasks each month this year, I figure small steps will be more achievable.
For January it is yarn stash being put into some sort of order (actually that is a big task) a fun task as I have set aside time to do this one, rather than rush in and do it half hearted. I have so much yarn it needs to be done.
I will post back my progress.
Have fun whatever you are doing this month.

First week down and I have 8 clear boxes stacked full of DK yarn, not quite sorted into colours yet but at least it is all DK together.
This week I am tackling the sport and Aran weight, then maybe move on to pattern sorting as well. Wish me luck, this task is way bigger than I ever imagined. Yarn who said I have to much !
