Baby knitting this month

I have been catching up on some baby knitting this month, as a few friends and family have new arrivals between now and the spring. Any excuse really to knit baby lol. 3 lots done so far, 4 more to go by the end of November. Used some of my favourites patterns.

How many WIP do you have?

When I lost my glasses and started searching my little (or not so little ) knitting corner, I surprised myself how many WIP I have on the go. Found my glasses of course and made a mental note not to start any more until I at least finish 3. Lets see how long that lasts lol.

American Girl dolls clothes

My niece came over at the weekend with her American Girl doll and a bunch of outfits I knitted her last Christmas. When am I doing more I am asked, but I had to laugh how she asked.

"Well Auntie a girl has to keep up with the fashion and be warm for winter, so what new jumpers are you making, my doll can model them for you and then look after them in her wardrobe"

I did giggle, and gave her a couple I had planned on for her Christmas box.

Loving the Autumn colours

Started some Autumn knits last week, this little hat set worked out rather nice I think.

Got me looking back at some of my other Autumn colours, so here they are.

Bit of yarn shopping Yes please

When it is too hot to knit it seems like a good idea to have a browse at the sale on Lovecrafts. Then again after buying this beautiful pack (and a couple more) The bank balance dosent agree.
Cannot wait for the postie now.

Post arrived yesterday with some gorgeous colours

Started on my new delivery, the paintbox baby is so soft I am loving knitting with it. I will update with the finished cardigan soon.

Gardening between knitting weekend

The weather was so good this weekend I had to get out and help hubby and daughter with the flower pots. It was so nice watching the bees and butterflies (not that there are many around) They love the lavender..
So in between I did some charity teeny tiny baby hats, so I feel a lucky lady having the best of both worlds.

White is always nice for newborns

Did this little cardigan over the weekend, I love doing white for Newborn babies. I do like the modern colours mums have but for me a white cardigan is just perfect.

Okay I did add a bit of colour with the buttons, but they just looked so pretty.

Weekend knitting finished

Did two sets of these lovelies over the weekend. Sometimes it is nice to have small pieces to do on the go.

Quick knit cardigan for the warmer weather

This is a great quick knit cardigan as it has so much stocking stitch. It looks good in lots of colours and a great knit for a sports fan.

Bright Summer colours

Did a bit of summer knitting last week, as the sun was shining. The little cardigan is a real favourite with my nieces and has been knitted in many colours now. The little hat set is off to Scotland to a dear friends grandbaby. I love sending surprise gifts.

Don't you just love getting up in the morning thinking "oh busy day ahead" then open and email to a wonderful customer who has taking the time to let you know how they enjoyed one of your patterns.
It has made my day and I am so uplifted I can face anything lol.

I LOVE this pattern. It is well-written and such fun to knit. I will be making more of these.

I really like both of these yarns for the patttern. I used the Cool Baby for the twisted ribbing and the Splash for the body of the hat.

New pattern store to share

Well as I seem to be getting a few emails asking where to buy my patterns that craftsy / blueprint have taken away for now, I thought I would open my own pattern store so you know they will stay once uploaded. It will take a while to get them all uploaded, but so far it is going well.

Bit of Blue knitting

Happy Monday everyone. The weekend was cold even though the sun shone for a while, perfect excuse to do some more knitting.
Used up some of my stash yarn and knitted up this little number.
I loved the way the blues all seems to blend well together.

Spring is in the air

Spring is just around the corner, not that you would think so with snow in some parts of the country,
It was still nice to spend the weekend knitting up this cute baby beanie, adding more sizes to my pattern.

Daisy cardigan with flower buttons. I never get tired of knitting this one.

A quick knit is great to have around

Finished re writing this cute little set, to add more sizes.
It is a lovely quick knit as it is only knit and purl stitches used.
This would make a wonderful gift for a baby boy or girl.

What is in store for February

                                                                               We have snow on the first day of the month, what a great excuse to stay indoors and knit. Mind you it does feel odd knitting a spring baby cardigan when there is snow on the ground I hope you all stay safe and warm, happy crafting if you can. This month is all about getting ready for spring, so a few spring knits are on the horizon, what are your plans for the month?

Finished this quick set over the past couple of days, it really is a quick knit and enjoyable to do. Still cold and windy out, so good excuse to sit and knit.

Made these for a very dear friend last month, got an email asking if i could do another pair in random colours. Sounds fun and i am going to have a go this week, i will update then i have done them. Watch this space lol

Knitting a favourite pattern

Have you a favourite go too pattern? I love this one it knits up so quick and looks so good in all colours. This pretty pink one has a blue and yellow fleck in the yarn that is not showing so well in the photo.

To many WIP

Have you ever heard the superstition not to start a new job on a Friday ? My mum always said it and I think I'm the back of my mind I have followed her 😀so I cast on yet another #Wip last night 😀I am determined to get my knitting mojo back 😀How is the new year working for you? #seasonknits #knitting #knittersofinstagram

Mitten Knitting time for the cold

Don't you just Love the cold when you can wrap up your hands in lovely mittens to keep warm. These are a favourite of mine and loved by my friends as well.
